Map the Unserved — Community Health Survey in Kabarole East
Hundreds of households in Kabarole East have never been visited by a health worker. We don't know how many children have missed vaccines, how many mothers have had no prenatal care, or which families are living with undiagnosed illness. This survey finds them — before it is too late.

You cannot help people you cannot find. Right now, in the villages of Kabarole East, there are families living with chronic illness they have never had diagnosed, children who have never received a single vaccine, and pregnant mothers who have never seen a health worker. They are not in any register. They are invisible to the health system.
What This Fundraiser Does
This campaign funds a complete community health survey across eight villages in Kabarole East sub-county — an area our teams have not yet systematically reached. Our trained volunteer health workers will conduct household-by-household visits, documenting:
- The health status of every household member, including chronic conditions and recent illness
- Immunization history for all children under five
- Pregnancy status and prenatal care uptake for all women of reproductive age
- Nutrition, sanitation, and water access conditions
- Families needing immediate referral for urgent health care
Why This Work Is the Foundation of Everything
Every program HAFT runs — pad distribution, maternal health outreach, immunization follow-up, HIV/AIDS awareness — depends on knowing where to go and who to serve. Community health surveys generate the evidence that makes all of our other work more effective and more accountable.
The data gathered in this survey will directly drive our field team's deployment priorities for the next 12 months.
What Your Contribution Covers
- $15 — one full household health assessment including volunteer transport
- $75 — one village entry survey covering 15 to 20 households
- $200 — one volunteer health worker's full survey deployment for one month
- $500 — covers an entire village cluster, generating data for three communities
"In our village, nobody had come to ask about our health for years. When the HAFT team came, they found three children who needed urgent care. One had tuberculosis. Without the survey, we would not have known."
— Community leader, Kabarole East
