Menstrual Stigma in Western Uganda: What HAFT Is Doing to Break It

More than 30% of girls in poor rural communities in Uganda miss school monthly because they lack sanitary products. In Kabarole District alone, at least 250 girls drop out each term. HAFT Uganda runs the Life of a Menstruating Girl Campaign across 7 Western Uganda districts, conducting community meetings, school visits, and reusable pad-making workshops to break menstrual stigma and keep girls in school.
